Wood Treatment

Traditionally we have used CCA (contains Arsenic) treated pine in our construction. However there is a growing trend against the use of this treatment due to safety issues. In line with this trend we now use 'Ecowood' (non arsenic treated pine) LOSP treated pine and Western Red cedar for our work. These are both Child friendly & carry a 50 year Guarantee We highly recommend that the cubby house be either oiled or painted with a suitable Decking oil, or General House paint, see your local hardware store or paint shop from more information. |
If left unoiled /unpainted, the timber will weather to a honey brown colour before fading to a driftwood grey after a few years exposure to the elements. All our products comply with the current Australian Standards.
